Severn Valley Railway

The railway  runs regular steam-hauled passenger trains between Kidderminster in Worcestershire and Bridgnorth in Shropshire, over a distance of 16 miles.

The route follows closely the meandering course of the River Severn for most of the way the crossing the river by means of the Victoria Bridge  with it's  200-foot single span.

There are few roads in the valley so  some of the views are  visible from the Railway only; the scenery is varied and largely unspoiled, punctuated by the  magic of the country stations, of Bewdley, Highley and Hampton Loade.
