Bluebell Railway

The SOUTHERN at WAR - 2007

12th -13th May 2007

The Bluebell Railway staging of 1940's cameo scenes, visitors were able to see a selection of  Military Displays, Mock Gun Battles,  Wartime Newsreels,  Military Vehicles and ENSA Concert Shows .

The event is about people enjoying themselves, whether they are visiting the Railway for the day or joining in by dressing for the event.  Locomotives  running over the weekend, Blackmoor Vale, U Class No.1638,  Earl of Berkeley No.9017, Eddystone and BR Standard 4 No.80151.

The weather once again restricted movement over the weekend especially on Sunday with prolonged heavy rain for most of the day.
